As The Garden Cinema members community is not just made up of cinema enthusiasts, but also covers a large range of film creatives, our regular Industry Panels host knowledgeable speakers to discuss their specific branch of the industry, leaving plenty of time for asking questions - whether you're working within the industry or looking to join, or simply curious to learn more about the ins and outs of film.
After each discussion, we all head into the bar to network - be it professionally, or simply to meet new like-minded cinephiles to see films with!
On Thursday 18 June, we will be joined by screenwriter and director Rebecca Lenkiewicz, whose film Hot Milk was based on Deborah Levy's novel of the same name, and screenwriter and director Julia Jackman, who adapted Isabel Greenberg's graphic novel 100 Nights of Hero, which itself was based on the Middle Eastern folktale One Thousand and One Nights. They will will be discussing their experiences adapting various forms of literature into screenplays, directing the resulting films, and the challenges that come with this process.
Tickets are available for just £5, which includes a token for a complimentary hot or soft drink, a house wine, or a beer, and are restricted to one per member.
