D is for Distance

Emma Matthew’s and Christopher Petit’s (Radio On) unique and tender new film is a meditation on cinema, the NHS and family relationships.

D is for Distance tells the story of the filmmakers’ son Louis, and his debilitating epilepsy, through an extraordinary archive of personal footage and Jodhi May’s narration.

The film was selected at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Doclisboa, and the Vienna International Film Festival.

The film will be preceded by an introduction on behalf of Epilepsy Action, a UK charity dedicated to supporting people with epilepsy, raising awareness, and campaigning for better services and treatment for individuals affected by the condition.
